Otaku Journal | Cosplay Events + BNHA: Two Heroes

Friday, November 02, 2018

Okaaay~! It's already November but obviously, I'm still not writing my October roundup post because October was fantastic! Got lots of events of this month and it has been pretty long. There were many costume parties in every corner but my favorite of them all are the two cosplay events that were hosted by the Legends: For Hire CDO.

Remember Eli? He's a star of my August Roundup who cosplayed Bakugo Katsuki from Boku no Hero Academia (BNHA) that time. But last October 20, Legends: For Hire CDO presented to us the Cosplay Roku-Jū where Eli and his group (Scarlet) performed and entertained everyone with a dance number. But before their performance, here's what happened in the said event:

60 cosplayers (or more) gathered as Roku-Jū is the Japanese word for '60'. There were three categories: Armor, Cloth and Kids. However, Desiree and I haven't stayed there for long  to see every category since we have curfews. JK! But seriously, both of us can't stay out for too long and yes, we're on our 20's. But that's not the point because the both of us enjoyed and were really overjoyed seeing Eli on the stage.

Eli cosplayed Shinano Toushirou from Touken Ranbu which is an online web browser game while other members of his group cosplayed other characters from other manga or anime.

A heartthrob, don't you think? 😉

Before their performance, Desiree and I had a good time watching the program first and even took photos from the rest of the cosplayers. Not all of them though since this shortie here who have a camera is too shy to approach people.

I really admire people who cosplay because they really spend time, effort and money to do what they love the most and as they all gather, you can clearly see that they are really having fun.

Tadaaa! Your titas of CDO who have unbelievable curfews~

Here's Gurei who cosplayed Overhaul from BNHA. He's one of my favorite villains! But I won't post my picture together with him here because I definitely looked like a potato~

Des also went to fan-girl mode as she saw her two favorite characters of all time. Sakura and Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura but they're cosplaying from the Clear Card Arc.

The participants from the cloth category~

Here's Scarlet! I really love seeing Eli perform. We even took a video however Des and I were too loud, I'm not sure if it's uploadable. Hahaha!

Supportive BFFs~ We love you Eli-sama!!! 😘

Before the BNHA movie, there's another cosplay event called Heroes or Villains but I didn't get the chance to go there because of work. But I definitely opened up my schedule last October 31 for the block screening of the Boku no Hero Academia: Two Heroes which was also hosted by Legends: For Hire CDO because I can't and I could never miss it!

As a matter of fact, I bought the tickets during the Cosplay Roku-Jū. I was very anxious that it might be too late and the tickets would sold out. LOL! So I bought three tickets (for Jason, Eli and of course mine) for P350/each. You may think it's a bit pricey but I guess it's worth it as we also had free snacks and freebies.

Awkward potato~

Jason and I arrived too early but we found Eli and his group eventually near the cinemas. It's a good time to take photos as well since they all dressed up as the characters! Aren't they cool? Weeee~

Ugh! I really love their group~!

But I love Eli most of all and Cindy was there as well!

Truth be told, I've always thought about cosplaying. I mean, me as the cosplayer but the thought that lots of people would want to take a photo with me scares me. Can someone just break me out from my shell? Please? LOL! But it's okay, maybe it's not just for me.

Looook it's #kacchako!! I ship Eli's character, Bakugo Katsuki to Uraraka Ochako however Eli doesn't because he ships him with another character. But still... I'm in love with this pair~ ♡

Sad to say, I can't bring my camera inside the cinema and I can't depend on my phone's camera so I don't have a single photograph on whatever happened inside. But all is well and I still enjoyed the event.

We lined up for the snacks first and got inside right after and before they started the movie, the host of the event picked different numbers from the tickets and gave away prizes. I even got one! It was a luggage bag which was sponsored by Globe. It was really embarrassing going in front. LOLOLOL!

A few moments later, the movie started. Waaaah it was definitely awesome and I am so delighted that I watched it with fellow otakus as I could scream, laugh and let out all the emotions that I could as they were doing the same. And really, that movie was fantastic! It deserved all the reviews that it got. Hopefully, more anime movies will show here in CDO just like this one.

When we got all out, the photo session of the cosplayers as the characters continued. But the mall was closing at that time already and the lights went out. So Jason and I decided to go home. Remember my curfew? My parents allow me to stay a bit late as long as I'm with him so it's okay. But I still have a night shift for work that time so we really have to go already. Eli was still with his friends though, so we went ahead of him.

Turns out, this blog is meant for Eli. Hahaha! Well, maybe it really is. Did I mentioned it earlier that I love supporting him? Plus it's related to anime so I'm really having fun as well. Looking forward for more events like this with him soooon~!
